Special Olympics

Class A Volunteers/Coaches

In order to participate in Special Olympics Sports as a volunteer, please make sure that the appropriate forms are on file. In adherence to policies sent to us by Special Olympics International: Anyone completing a Class A Coach/Chaperone form must also complete the new Protective Behaviors course and pass a simple 10-question test. If done online, the entire process should take no more than 10-15 minutes. You will be asked to view 18 very short pages (similar to a Powerpoint) on protective behaviors. Click here to view the slides. If you do not have internet access, call Sandy or Amy at (630) 377 - 7250 or Amber at (847) 478 - 0935 to obtain a hard copy.

New for 2009:

Please be sure to attach printed confirmation of completion of this test to your Class A Coach application, otherwise it will be returned to you.
