PT Swim Team Instructor wanted for Special Olympics youth and adult program, ages 8 & older. Must be 18 or older. This is program that meets for two hours on Sunday mornings. Will train with some experience.  Contact Beth Corso at 630-620-4500 ext. 130.

Qualified Part-Time Staff and Volunteers

NEDSRA hires qualified part-time staff and volunteers to assist with many programs. If you are 16 years of age or older, and are interested in being a member or our support staff please contact Ann Roytek-Rylko, Recreation Manager of Support Staff Services, at 1-630- 620-4500, ext. 133. As a part-time staff member, you will need to complete an application and meet with our Recreation Manager of Support Staff Services to discuss the variety of programs that match with your interest, experience and availability.

Whether it is assisting with our weekly programs, going on an overnight camping trip, coaching Special Olympics Sports or assisting with an inclusion in one of our member park districts, your time, experience and commitment are valuable to NEDSRA.

Student Internship Opportunities

Sixteen-week internships are available to students majoring in Therapeutic Recreation or a closely related field. General areas covered during the placement include:

  • Administration
  • Supervision
  • Fiscal Management
  • Public Relations
  • Outdoor Recreation
  • Program Leadership

All interns will be directly supervised by a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and will receive an $100 per week stipend.
