NEDSRA Booster Club Supporting
Special Olympics
What is it? The NEDSRA BoosterClub Supporting Special Olympics is seeking parents, guardians, and family members to join the membership for the upcoming year. The Club is an active group of NEDSRA employees, parents, guardians, and family members working in partnership to support NEDSRA's Special Olympics year-round training and competition program. It exists to help sustain and enhance the quality of Special Olympics programs through ongoing volunteer support and fundraising efforts, while promoting NEDSRA pride, spirit and camaraderie among the participants and families. In one year, this fantastic group of hardworking individuals has raised over $7,000 to purchase personal warm-up jackets for NEDSRA's 120 Special Olympics athletes.
The Booster's new goal is to raise enough money to purchase sports bags for all our athletes. For further information, contact Beth Corso at 1-630-620-4500, ext. 130 or bcorso@nedsra.org. In November, the Booster's will once again sell its yearly calendar featuring colorful drawings by NEDSRA's Special Olympics athletes. Buy your holiday gifts earlier, the 2008 calendar is a must have!

How it it done? The group raises money through yearly calendar sales, rummage sale, merchandise sales and 50/50 raffles and much more.
Join us? NEDSRA athletes need you! Our Booster Club is always looking for new faces to join our group. Not only is it a wonderful organization to be a part of, but it's a great way to meet new Special Olympics parents.
Meetings? The Booster Club meets on Thursdays once a month at the Expresso Cup in Addison, near Marcus Cinema. Typically, meetings are held once a month. For upcoming meeting dates contact Beth Corso at 1-630-620-4500, ext. 130 or bcorso@nedsra.org.
Just volunteer? Not a meeting person? Then sign up to be "on call." If you would like to volunteer at Booster Club fundraisers without attending meetings, please call NEDSRA to be added to the list.
